.....PLAYING NOW!! PLAYING NOW!! YESTERDAY ONCE MORE!! PLAYING NOW!! PLAYING NOW!!........

Kim Dickinson was born in Liverpool and moved to Omagh when she was 11 years of age. Learning to ride and looking after horses as a hobby, she applied to various racing schools for a place hoping to make a career in the equine world. At the age of 16, she was offered a place at Doncaster riding school and left home with great excitement. She settled in very well and thoroughly enjoyed the work, though as it was at times, even managing to get a transfer to Hong Kong for 6 months.

As much as Kim loved horses, she became disillusioned after 7 years when she decided that her dream of being a jockey was not going to happen and returned home. She took up a job on a farm where she helped milk cows etc, and was quite happy with her lot. However, one day a family friend happened to hear her singing in her bedroom when visiting and recommended she take singing more seriously and pursue a career.

As Kim’s singing started to take off she was very lucky to join some of the best known performers in Ireland, such as Philomena Begley, Dominic Kirwan, Declan Nerney and Brendan Grace, but to name a few, and went on to land a slot on TG4 TV station with her very own show.

In 2000 she recorded her first album in Nashville and was staggered when it went straight to No.1 in both the Independent European Charts and the Nashville Showcase. The single “Here I am Again” taken from the album also went to No 1 in the European Charts and stayed there for 6 weeks.

Due to her success in Europe, Kim did several tours including Denmark, Belgium and Germany to promote her album. On her return home she was asked to perform at the Tamworth Country Music Festivals Irish Peace tour in Australia, which she gladly accepted and was out there performing for over 1 month.

Kim returned to Nashville after the Australian tour, staying there for 3 month, working with several of Tim McGraw’s Musicians’ and Billie Jo Spears Drummer, who said that Kim one of the most talented performers, he had worked with in a long time.

Kim then set up home in Co Lough, Ireland, playing gigs all over Ireland, Dublin in particular. As she and her band we proving very popular, it was decided to record a second album. Unfortunately during this time Kim was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. She had to inject herself several times and day and strictly monitor when and at what time she ate. This lead to her having to give up her band and performing and was in actual fact forced of the road for a year.

Her first job upon her return was opening the Brendan Grace show for 5 weeks over December and January. When this came to an end she auditioned for the part of Karen Carpenter in a new theatre show and was delighted to be chosen.

Kim had now signed a 5 year recording deal with All Country Music and her new album
